NHTSA Complaint #11649318 — 2019 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly jerked to the left and to the right and lost power steering functionality. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a fee would be charged for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V812000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
