NHTSA Complaint #11647986 — 2017 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID

We are writing to bring to your attention a concerning issue with our 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L, which we purchased from the SF Honda dealership. Over the past few weeks, we’ve experienced a loud static noise coming from the audio unit — even when the audio is turned off. The only way to stop the noise is to put the car in park, turn it off, and restart it. Unfortunately, this solution is inconsistent, as the noise sometimes persists even after restarting. The sound is deafening and extremely distracting, which raises serious safety concerns for us. This is not just an inconvenience — it’s a significant hazard while driving.
