What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Gauge cluster doesn't shut off, which kills the electrical system. This is likely due to a known issue from FCA as noted in Customer Satisfaction Notification 48A. FCA claims my truck is not affected even though it has the same Electronic Shifter Module, as well as is the same Model, Trim, Year... Just not the right VIN. The fix is a software update. They know the software in my truck is faulty, but won't update it in compliance with 48A. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Truck leaves me stranded if left not running for too long. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, I can reproduce it myself reliably... I have an appointment with the Ram dealer on 3/14/25. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?
