Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH and following a curve to the right, the steering wheel was very difficult to turn. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but occurred at various speeds while turning to the right or the left. The contact researched online and became aware that there were many reports of intermittent failures of the power steering assist with similar vehicles. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 161,835.
