NHTSA Complaint #11644711 — 2009 FORD EDGE

Fuel tank leaking at spot welds and mounting points. Fuel tank recall performed [XXX] @ 54,758 miles. We purchased the vehicle from a ford Dealer in Alpena MI Dean Arbour Ford in August of 2018. I have contacted this dealer about this issue as well as the Customer Care Center of Ford Motor Company. All tell me they only had a 2 year warranty on the repair. My concern is the recall was performed but did not fix this issue due to the same situation is happening with-in the same amount of time from manufacture date to the date of the original recall. They did not rectify the safety concern from the original recall they just replaced with the same style tank knowing it would fail again.
