The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH to the dealer, the “Collision Braking System Failure - Contact Dealer” was displayed on the mobile app. Additionally, a fuel warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that rodents had damaged the wiring. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had passed the recall inspection; however, the contact stated that the fuel warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,555.
