Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 BMW X5. The contact stated while driving 65-70 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact drove to the residence. The following day, the vehicle was towed to SLM Auto Care LLC - Audi VW BMW Porsche, where it was diagnosed that the N63 engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The mechanic also informed the contact that the N63 engine was known to consume excessive oil. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.
