NHTSA Complaint #11635257 — 2019 JAGUAR I-PACE

The contact owns a 2019 Jaguar I-Pace. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V633000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost automotive power as the battery warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the high-voltage battery failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the battery energy control module software, would be updated for a temporary remedy, The contact was also informed by the dealer that the remedy part for the battery failure was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000 VIN tool confirms parts not available.
