The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V608000 (Engine and Engine Cooling, Electrical System) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 MPH she was hearing an abnormal buzzing sound coming from the dashboard vents. The contact stated that she was also observing white smoke emitted from under the hood. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back to her residence and had left the vehicle parked. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic.
