The contact stated that while driving at approximately 65 MPH in heavy rain, the windshield wipers were activated however, the driver’s side wiper arm failed to raise up high enough to clear the driver’s side windshield. The contact stated that that the wiper arm was going back to the start position with force. The contact stated that the wiper arm was striking the bottom of the windshield with a loud cracking sound. The contact stated that the driver's side wiper arm was also impeding the function of the passenger side wiper arm. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V250000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was informed of the failure.
