Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2016 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that either while driving or while parked, the body control module failed to respond as designed while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taking to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the body control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000.
