Consumer Description
This trailer has a dangerous design flaw. This trailer is called a "Tilt Trailer," and the bed of trailer tilts to allow machines to drive onto the ramp. The design flaw is the location of the tie-down rings. The "D-rings" are welded to the bed, and not the frame of the trailer. This allows the bed of the trailer to bounce. When a machine is on the trailer, the bed will continue to bounce and become worse. The only thing that prevents the bed from bouncing is the "Draw bar" under the trailer. However, this bar starts to bend overtime, and the bounce becomes more extreme. Other tilt trailer manufactures have the D-rings welded to the frame, which eliminates any bouncing when tied down tight and correctly. On this particular trailer, the bouncing of the bed on the frame has caused the frame of the trailer to crack. Please see pictures, and note: D-ring locations, Crack in Frame, and bent draw bar under trailer.
