NHTSA Complaint #11624093 — 2019 ACURA ILX

The contact owns a 2019 Acura ILX. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally failed to start, and occasionally after shifting to drive(D), the vehicle stalled. The power steering and stability-trac warning lights remained illuminated during the failure. The vehicle was towed on three separate occasions. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the failure was linked to the recall; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
