NHTSA Complaint #11623654 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, an alarm sounded and a message indicating the anti-lock braking system failure was displayed, causing the adaptive cruise control mode and the traction control to disengage. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and continued driving. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and slamming on the brakes, the rear wheels locked-up and the vehicle made a squealing sound. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
