NHTSA Complaint #11623395 — 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was a burning chemical odor coming from the engine compartment. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the brake fluid reservoir was empty. The brake fluid reservoir was refilled but later the contact discovered that the brake fluid reservoir was empty again; however, there was no visible signs of a brake fluid leak. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 205,000.
