The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated with a message to “Drive with Caution” displayed. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the failure was remedied; however, the failure persisted. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign 24V608000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) and linked the failure to the recall. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage 134,000.
