Consumer Description
Vehicle went into limp mode after loss of power. This in turn forced a ECM reboot before vehicle would run at normal operations speeds. Original fix from dealer was to repair wires that had rubbed and shorted out the ECM. This was after maybe four months of owning vehicle and after it had done it on two trips where I had to have vehicle towed as I was out of town. Recently after supposed fix, at approximately 11,230 miles, the vehicle has the same issue in which it would flash all the lights and go into limp mode. This time was especially problematic because I was in the middle of a busy intersection and very nearly got rear ended due to loss off power. I saw that they are recalling 2024 models and suggest that they extend that recall to 2023 models to include FLTRXS as well as the other affected models. My bike is just over a year old with 11,200 approximate miles and it’s been in the shop three times for this issue. The last two the dealer couldn’t even find out what was wrong, due to having to remove main fuse to reset ecm for the ability to remove myself from dangerous traffic, this clearing diagnostic codes.
