Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2011 Land Rover LR4. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled with the low coolant warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine had failed due to coolant intrusion into the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed to the dealer, the vehicle lost motive power with the low coolant warning light illuminated. The contact was informed that coolant was leaking into the engine and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
