The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid. The contact stated that while at a complete stop and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle briefly hesitated before responding to the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact stated that on one occasion, the accelerator pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 8,000.
