Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2016 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 70 MPH, the power steering suddenly failed, and the steering wheel became difficult to turn in either direction. During the failure, the message "Power Steering Failure" was displayed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 51,867.
