NHTSA Complaint #11611804 — 2017 GENESIS G80

The contact owns a 2017 Genesis G80. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked for a while, the contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and the contact was informed that the starter had failed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V107000 (Electrical System); which stated that the starter relay kit needed to be replaced. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the starter assembly had failed. The dealer was in contact with the manufacturer and confirmed that the manufacturer had denied assisting with the starter assembly repair. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
