NHTSA Complaint #11610438 — 2019 JEEP WRANGLER

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at approximately 70 MPH, the front passenger’s side wheel started shaking violently, and the vehicle was maneuvered over to the side of the road to be inspected. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the screw hex flange head, bearing intermediate shaft support, shaft steering column, and bolt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred two weeks later. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the same parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred approximately 18 months later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,911.
