NHTSA Complaint #11605404 — 2014 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic; however, the independent mechanic was not equipped to service the vehicle. The independent mechanic referred to contact to a dealer for assistance. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that there were no recalls or Warranty on the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
