NHTSA Complaint #11605100 — 2016 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V411000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the contact was advised by the dealer that the recall was a software update. The contact advised the dealer that the recall was for the reluctor wheel magnetic material delaminating off the wheel. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact was advised by the dealer that the recall was only a software update and had nothing to do with the recall. Parts distribution disconnect.
