NHTSA Complaint #11599538 — 2018 HONDA CR-V

Blown cylinder head gasket required replacement by dealership. Per the dealership, the car displayed failure codes P0302 and P0303. Dealership covered 80% of the cost as "good will" but also mentioned this is a "known issue." The Check Engine Light had displayed just prior to the gasket failure. A day prior my wife and son described the vehicle as "shaking" when the car started (likely related to the engine misfiring as indicated by the P0302 and P0303 error codes found by the dealer) Safety was at risk as wife was driving vehicle when the gasket failed - resulting in a loss of power to the engine and a potential risk for an accident in traffic. Luckily the problem happened less than a quarter mile away from our home and my wife was able to navigate traffic back to our home at a low rate of speed.
