The contact owns a 1998 Chevrolet GMT-400. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the driver’s and passenger’s side air bags deployed independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened.
