The contact stated that the failure was intermittent and had started engaging the parking brake whenever the vehicle was parked. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
