Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated while the vehicle was in park(P), the tailgate opened unintendedly. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was with the tailgate electronic switch. The contact was concerned that the vehicle could present a hazard for other drivers on the roadway should the tailgate open unintendedly. The dealer was not contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
