NHTSA Complaint #11585680 — 2023 GENESIS GV70

[XXX] At approximately [XXX] pm, while driving to Dallas, Texas, the car bucked numerous times while attempting to pass another car at approximately 65 mph. The GV70 then started to deaccelerate. The speed dropped to around 50 mph. I continued to press the accelerator, but the car would not accelerate but the engine was revving (RPM hit around 5000) and then dropped back down. I continued driving with the speed varying between 45 and 55 mph even with the accelerator floored. As I got closer to Dallas, I could get the speed up to 60 - 65 mph with the accelerator floored but then on any incline, the speed would drop back to 45 - 50 mph. I had to turn the hazards on several times as the speed was well below the other vehicles. There were no warning lights. I was able to get the GV70 into a dealer the next morning who kept the car for 2 days. They ran diagnostics and drove the GV70 but could not replicate the problem nor did the diagnostics sow anything. They thought that maybe the car reset when it was turned off.
