NHTSA Complaint #11582775 — 2015 HYUNDAI ELANTRA

I am submitting this complaint because in the fall of last year 2023, I received a recall notice in the mail from Hyundai advising me of a safety recall with the ABS Module and risk of fire. As of today, the manufacturer has not made any efforts to remedy this issue and I am advised to park my vehicle away from structures to avoid fire. In order to keep myself and family safe I park my vehicle on the street in front of my home, but will not be able to continue doing this for much longer. Because of HOA regulations I will be fined if I continue to park my car on the street and will be forced to park in my driveway or garage. This has caused major inconveniences in my life as well as the worry that my car could become a risk to myself or others due to this safety recall. I do not believe that Hyundai has taken the appropriate measures to resolve the issue. I would like further investigation to insure the manufacturer does the right thing to protect not only myself, but other consumers who are affected by the recall. I contacted Hyundai on [XXX], received an apology; however I was not given an estimate of when they will have a resolution available. This is an unacceptable response after 6-7 months without communication from Hyundai. Reference number of call # [XXX].
