The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power, after which the vehicle was unable to accelerate above 30 MPH. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the failure persisted. The low oil pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the oil pump drive belt tensioner, resulting in damages to the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
