NHTSA Complaint #11573369 — 2020 FORD ECOSPORT

The contact stated that the low oil pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Valvoline, where an oil change was performed, but the failure recurred several days later. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine long block, the oil pump tensioner and the oil pump drive belt had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 94,399.
