NHTSA Complaint #11571700 — 2018 FORD FOCUS

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she became aware that the center display was not functioning, preventing the use of the backup camera, and compromising the backover prevention system. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the APIM module. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 54,000.
