NHTSA Complaint #11567586 — 2021 JEEP WRANGLER

The contact owned a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V787000 (Electrical System) however, the parts to repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the vehicle was charging for 2 hours in the driveway when it caught on fire. No one was injured during the fire and the vehicle was destroyed. The fire and police department was notified and the fire was extinguished. A fire department report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an unknown insurance garage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the vehicle was inspected by the insurance company and fire department who determined that the cause was a defect in the electrical system. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
