NHTSA Complaint #11566994 — 2021 JEEP WRANGLER

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V787000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at speeds of 50 MPH or more, the vehicle would experience the death wobble. The vehicle would also suddenly lose motive power. The contact would coast to the side of the road and attempt to restart the vehicle. The vehicle sometimes restarted in battery mode or hybrid mode. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front axle failed. The vehicle had been repaired. The vehicle was returned to the dealer however, there was no repair completed due to the recall remedy being unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 5,000.
