NHTSA Complaint #11566227 — 2023 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID

The contact owns a 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and was difficult to steer. The contact shifted from drive to neutral before the vehicle shut off and coasted to the side of the roadway. The hybrid battery and engine systems warning lights and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a defective Hybrid battery system control module. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,640.
