The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not under recall. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with a defective air bag module. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
