The contact owns a 2014 Kia Rio. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V652000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS and an unknown warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after inflating the tires, the ABS warning light disappeared and then later reappeared. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the parts to complete the recall repair were unavailable. The contact was informed that there would be a service fee to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the vehicle was scheduled for service. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the parts were not available. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
