NHTSA Complaint #11558554 — 2020 FORD ECOSPORT

The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the low oil pressure warning light illuminated. The contact inspected the oil level and noticed that the oil level was normal. The vehicle was towed to several independent mechanics to be diagnosed. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown belt had fractured, which led to the oil pump and engine failure.
