Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after the vehicle was idle, the vehicle shuddered before accelerating forward. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the contact felt as if the transmission had shifted into neutral and or lost motive power. The vehicle was included in the Customer Satisfaction Program NHTSA ID: 10237441 (Power Train) however, the part for the repair was on backorder. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
