Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the service brakes were inoperable, and the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The vehicle came to a complete stop on the highway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact called and made the dealer aware of the failure. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Additionally, the speed odometer was inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
