NHTSA Complaint #11556947 — 2015 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). After the recall remedy was completed, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode, while driving approximately 10-15 MPH. The vehicle then started to jerk. An unknown warning light illuminated, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer that completed the recall repair and the contact was informed that the tone wheel and crank sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact also received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer also informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
