The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 65–70 MPH, the steering wheel was tight while turning. Additionally, while driving, the power steering became inoperable. The contact stated that water was entering the steering column, which caused the steering to disengage. The contact stated that the service power steering light was illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, who informed the contact that there were no associated recalls. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the failure was like NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V812000 (Steering). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 167,000.
