NHTSA Complaint #11553094 — 2014 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact attempted to reverse however, the vehicle failed to respond while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty transmission and that the Shift Motor-B stop was fractured inside the case. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 127,000.
