NHTSA Complaint #11550915 — 2014 BMW 535D

The contact owns a 2014 BMW 535D. The contacted stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the "200 Mile No Start" light illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that there was a software error in the DDE/ECM which a required reprogramming the ECM. The contact was advised by the dealer that the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to TSB Number: SI B13 01 14 SCR System Faults (Engine and Engine Cooling). The failure mileage was 105,211.
