NHTSA Complaint #11549273 — 2023 HONDA HR-V

The contact owns a 2023 Honda HR-V. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 MPH she heard an abnormal bang or popping sound. The contact looked into her rearview mirror and saw that the entire rear windshield had shattered. The contact stated that the entire left side of the rear windshield had appeared to have imploded and there was glass in the rear passenger compartment. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer. The contact stated that the vehicle had not been diagnosed and the vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
