Consumer Description
A Recall Repair (19S07) was performed on 4/24/2023 at which time the truck had 161711 miles. Prior to the Recall Repair I had not experienced any issues at all. I had only brought the truck into Ford Service for a different repair at which time they took care of the Recall (19S07). On 7/9/2023 the truck would not start (No Crank/No Start) A Tow Truck Service was called at which time confirming that the battery was in good condition, however at the time he came, the truck was able to start. Later that week, we experienced this strange issue again (intermittent no crank) and the truck was driven into a local service center where no service codes were showing because the truck was in working condition. Out of concern for the safety of the future reliability of this intermittent starting, the mechanic suggested we consider changing the batter cables, and felt considering the age of the truck that we could consider changing the starter. With concern, I decided to move forward with those repairs. Two days after the new battery cables and a new starter was placed, the truck once again would not start. I had the truck towed back to this mechanic where he was then able to confirm it was an issue with the Transmission Lead Frames communication and that the truck thinks it is in park. I then called the Ford Service Department where the Transmission Lead Frame Recall was performed to report the issue and was told that indeed the recall repair/or issues with the recall could be the issue, so I had the truck towed back to them where they confirmed the issue and reported that this issues were considered part of the recall issue but now that my truck was out of the mileage warranty, I would have to pay for the repairs. The truck had 161711 miles when the original recall was performed. It had 167174 miles when the new repairs were done. There should be a warranty on the recall repair work performed. I have already paid for the repairs. Can you help me?
