Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side seat would no longer slide backwards. The contact was concerned that the front passenger was too close to the air bag system due to the seat malfunction. Additionally, the trunk door handle had malfunctioned, and the trunk door could not be opened from outside the vehicle. The contact stated that trunk door would not shut securely, and the front driver’s side headlight bulb had overheated and experienced charring inside the lens. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
