NHTSA Complaint #11537229 — 2015 GMC SIERRA 1500

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH and hauling a boat, the vehicle started operating at reduced power. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the push rods were bent, and the lifter had collapsed. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
