Consumer Description
The contact's company owns a 2022 Freightliner M2. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the front driver seat was not steady and would rock to the side (left and right) and the front passenger recliner was not stable. The contact took the semi truck to the local dealer but was unable to repair the seats. The semi truck was not repaired. The contact called the seat manufacturer and they provided the front driver suspension base and chugger fore and isolator and the front passager recliner kaob kit to be replaced. The contact took the semi truck back to the local dealer but they declined to service the semi truck with replacement parts that she took to the location. The semi truck was not repaired. The contact stated on June 24, 2022, while she was driving 30 mph, she saw white smoke exiting from the hood and started to smell a bad odor. The contact stated the temperature gauge began to rise rapidly. The contact continued driving to a near local dealer: Cummins Sales and Service (1800 Fryar Ave, Sumner, WA 98390: (425) 235-3400): but no failure was found. The contact experienced the engine failure a couple of days later but did not take the semi truck to any local dealer at the moment. The contact took the semi truck to a third local dealer: Velocity Truck Centers - Greensboro (6420 Burnt Poplar Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409:(336) 668-0911), where they replaced the parts the manufacturer provided. The semi truck was repaired but the driver seat was now rocking 5 inches forward and backward. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.
